My High School Days ...

    Back in high school before covid was a thing I had a bunch of friends and one of the most basic high school experiences ever, granted it was kind of cheesy and ghetto, and full of kids that depended on sports and or grades. 

    Me ? 

    I depended on the regular high school experience. 

    For years I was in what they called an IB school, my great aunt worked there as a teacher and told my mom there were some openings, so in the middle of my kindergarten year, my mom transferred me to CIS. An elementary IB school. An IB school is an educational institution authorized by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) to teach one or more of its globally recognized academic programs.

    I attended this school with the same people for years , and I mean years. All the way up to my freshman year of high school. 

    And then, well. High school happened.

    We weren't kids anymore, we were teenagers. fresh, seething, horny teenagers. We all wanted to be cool, or wanted to be liked. Going into your freshman year all you can think about is where you can fit in. Well this wasn't your regular degular high school, it was a high school made purely out of the fact that the middle schoolers were growing out of middle school. There was only one grade above us, and after they graduated 8th grade the school board said "Oh hey, let's give them somewhere to go and make a high school out of this!" 

Didn't exactly work out for them in the end.

We'll get to that later though.

   After making it into the CIS high school, I thought the friends I made in middle school going into this one year old high school with me would make it easier. Instead it changed everything completely, I couldn't rebrand myself like everyone normally did in high school because everyone from middle school had followed me, meaning that everything I did so embarrassingly in middle school followed me too.

    So after getting bullied almost my entire freshman year, I spent the entire summer looking at other high schools I could go to. As the summer went on I was constantly showing my mom good high schools I could go to and she could enroll me into, only for her to forget to enroll me in any of them so I ended up being enrolled to my new high school on the very first day of what was supposed to be my sophomore year. Luckily for me I knew the school secretary from middle school so she managed to get me in, even though it was the first day of school.

    Within a couple months I had my little friend group, and could finally grow the way I wanted too, without past mistakes holding me back.
